Funding in Germany

ICCS 2027 Germany is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education, Family, Seniors, Women, and Youth (BMBFSFJ). A consortium led by Prof. Dr. Katrin Hahn-Laudenberg (Social Science Education, University of Münster) has been established for this purpose. Prof. Dr. Hermann Josef Abs (Educational Research and Schooling, University of Duisburg-Essen) and Prof. Dr. Frank Goldhammer (Technology-Based Assessment, DIPF) are additional consortium partners.

Scientific implementation

The German study center team is led by Katrin Hahn-Laudenberg, together with Hermann Josef Abs.

The fieldwork, including data collection and data cleaning, is carried out by IEA Hamburg.

International coordination

ICCS 2027 is funded internationally by the European Commission. The international study center is located at the University of Bath and is led by Prof. Dr. Andres Sandoval Hernandez and Dr. Maria Magdalena Isac.

ICCS is carried out within the framework the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA), which is also responsible for other international school achievement studies such as TIMSS, PIRLS, and ICILS.
